Hurricane news coverage
How do you feel about the news coverage of Hurricane Katrina? As residents of one of the hardest-hit states (and perhaps personally affected by this tragedy), you probably have very strong feelings about this event. Do you think the coverage is complete? Is it sensationalized? Do you think that local and state governments are being portrayed fairly?

I feel that most of the coverage has been of the tragedy in New Orleans..while i think that is very important and newsworthy i also think they are showing the negative aspects of the events that have taken place. For example, the looting and crimes that are taking place to businesses and homes, what about the positive things we outside of the area and even those in the area are doing to help relieve some of the devestation. Also, it's reported that MS was the hardest hit but most of the coverage is of New Orleans. I know it's hard to shed any light or positive aspects to such a horrible event but there are positive things being done but you won't see that in the news..
