Thing Going on Around the World

The world is a volatile place. There is a possible war about to break out for the second time on the African horn. This war is between Erirae and Ethiopia over boarder disputes, right now the United Nation Security Council is looking into the disputes. Which they thought they had fixed 4 years ago.

There is rioting in France. It seems that there is extreme poverty in the slums of France along with Arab and African youth who are feeling rage at society. The current rioting was triggered when 2 teens died by electrocution, will hiding from police. They were at a soccer game when the police showed up, the police say they were not chasing them. There has been rioting for 8 days now. France has tried very hard through extensive social programs to intergrate Muslims into society. There current problems seem to show a failure somewhere in the policy.

Scooter Libby, Vice President Cheney's top aid, pleas not guilty to CIA leak obstruction and perjury charges.

The Senate narrowly approved a measure to allow oil and natural gas drilling in the Alaskan refuge. Over the next 5 years it is supposed to save $35 billion and reduce the deficit. The bill stands to face more opposition in the House, and is less likely to pass.

Those are just some of the issues going on in the world. Anybody care to comment on any of them?

Comments:
this makes me question if this is an issue that will continue to happen and cause problems. And is the media attention going to help cease the problem?
