gas prices

I think that a major issue in the next Presidential race will be gas prices. How do you think that the candidates will handle the war in Iraq and drilling in Alaska?

Comments:
Neither the gas companies nor the politicians who speak on gas prices are genuinely concerned about their effect on the average citizen. Gas prices will, however, be utilized in every election until people stop complaining about them. For example, gas prices and increased debt, despite stagnate wages is the issue of choice for Kentucky's 2006 Senate race. This politician has chosen to not to attack the gas prices alone. Instead, he attacks the fact that while the cost of living is consistently rising, and the economy seems to be improving the salaries of the average American is the still. By appealing to Americans who agree with this many politicians who follow in his footstep may see success.
