Hillary's new ad

I just read ( http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ )that Hillary is preparing a new attack ad to run in Wisconsin. She is calling out Obama for declining her debate proposal of one debate every week until the Texas/Ohio primaries on March 4. His counter offer was two debates between now and then. The ad says Obama would rather "give speeches than have to answer questions."

That statement may very well be true, but who really wants to see these two debate on a weekly basis?? Not me. Besides, there are many other aspects of a campaign than debating, and who can blame Obama for wanting time to concentrate on those. From what I've read, I am not sure this attack ad is going to do Hillary much good. Seems like a weak angle to me...

Anyone else heard about this? Any thoughts?

Comments:
Well I just read a story that said that was the strategy they were going to implement. It said. "Two senior Clinton advisers, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the race candidly, said the campaign feels the New York senator needs to quickly change the dynamic by forcing Obama into a poor debate performance, going negative or encouraging the media to attack Obama. They're grasping at straws, but the advisers said they can't see any other way that her campaign will be sustainable after losing 10 in a row.

Clinton strategists are famous for poor-mouthing their own campaign in order to lower expectations, but these advisers have never played such games. They're legitimate, and legitimately worried.

So yeah, it looks like they're going to try and sway the media in thier direction.

My question is all candidates go through a love/hate relationship with the media where the media thinks that the candidate is the darling and then a couple of months later all you hear is negative stories about the candidate. I just wonder if Hillary is effective at reversing the tide can Obama stay afloat until it shifts back again. Is he ahead to early?

Just a thought. Source for the quote: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap_campaignplus/on_deadline_clinton
