Is Race and Gender Still a Factor?
After reading Julie's post about what some correspondents are saying, it made me think a bit. Since the beginning of the race, several sources have questioned whether America is ready for an African American or Female president. I think at this point in the race, Obama's race and Hillary's gender is not a factor. At least for me it isn't. At the end of the day, some aren't going to vote for Obama simply because he's black. And some people will not vote for Hillary simply because she's a woman. Honestly, I could care less if the person who gets in office is white, red, orange, green, male or female. America needs someone who will bring the country out its current state regardless of how the candidate may look. What do you guys think?
