'Liberal bias?' IU professors find network TV election coverage favors Republicans
I personally have always thought that the charges of "liberal media bias" was a bunch of baloney and a scam perpetrated by the Rush Limbaughs of the world of political punditry, and even politicians such as in the last election with John McCain and Sarah Palin. Cries of media bias has been a rallying call used by Republicans ever since I can remember, and it seems to always work whether it's based on factual evidence or not.
A visual analysis of television presidential campaign coverage from 1992 to 2004 suggests that the three television broadcast networks -- ABC, CBS and NBC -- favored Republicans in each election, according to two Indiana University professors in a new book, "Image Bite Politics: News and the Visual Framing of Elections."
Their research runs counter to the popular conventional notion of a liberal bias in the media in favor of Democrats and against Republican candidates.
"We don't think this is journalists conspiring to favor Republicans. We think they're just so beat up and tired of being accused of a liberal bias that they unknowingly give Republicans the benefit in coverage," said Grabe, who also is a research associate in political science at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. "It's self-censorship that journalists might be imposing on themselves."

I think it should be pretty obvious to everyone that claiming the media has a "liberal bias" is just a political technique used by Republicans to make them look like victims. Clinton did the same thing, when they attacked him except he just used different terminology. If you don't like what the press is saying, just blame the press and say they are biased. Palin said they were using "gotcha journalism."
But of course Fox News is fair and balanced...no media bias there.

Lets think for a moment the majority of people in media are liberal and conservatives get fox news and bill o'reilly I didnt know it was a big secret. Politics is not meant to be fair where everyone has to be equal and the media doesnt use enough objectivity so get over it.
