Please, just say it's a tax!

President Obama was on ABC's "This Week" and stated that the new health care "option" was not a tax but there will be a penalty up to $3800 if you don't pay. He also claims that it is not a tax because it is for the good of the people. Most taxes are for the benefit & welfare of the people such as property tax which improves public school districts and roads. This plan has every indication that it is not called by that name. Mr. Obama it is a tax, taxes are not necessarily a bad thing although they carry a negative connotation. I considered it a useful tax increase because it will enable the America people to cut cost in other areas in their personal finances.

I'd love to comment here...Obama is a speaker, Clinton was a speaker. They know how to say what sounds best to the majority of people. Obama rode into Washington on the negative opinion that most people had of the Republican party at the time. He hasn't done anything special since he's been here, yet he continues to be heralded as doing such a "great" job. I'm not saying he's done a horrible job, but what HAS he done that is so great...nothing.

I truly believe most politicans say the same thing, which is what the people want to hear. Obama is making the right move because taxes are important. Yes, taxes are a pain because people dont want to pay them, but they are important because they make this country run. Without taxes we wouldnt have, well basically more problems than we have now.
